All About Me!
Growing up, I was always an athletic kid. My parents would put me in all kinds of activities such as figure skating, ballet, basketball, swimming, and many more until I found my love and passion for softball and volleyball. However, you can only imagine that being such an active child growing up, I injured myself constantly.
Through many injuries, I learned about some of the different healthcare professions. I knew that I wanted to help people the way that I had been helped. This peaked my curiosity about learning any and everything there is to know about the human body and how to rehabilitate it. After graduating from Human Kinetics and being in the workplace for 3 years, I was ready to move on.
It was one fateful weekend where I took a course to further my kinesiology knowledge that I was introduced to osteopathy. I had never thought about it before, actually, I had never even heard about it! But once I started on this journey, I never looked back. Osteopathy has completely changed my outlook on the human body.
After graduating from University of Guelph in Human Kinetics, I attended the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto for 5 years. I completed my diploma program by writing a thesis on Visceral Palpation. I am currently in good standing with the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO) and am accepted by various insurance providers.
Oh, and when Iām not in the clinic treating patients, you can find me playing softball, beach volleyball, hanging out with friends, or watching the bachelor!
